Bomba Marilé invites the greater Salt Lake Community to join us on Saturday April 22, 2023 at the Sorenson Unity Center for a day of learning about the connections between Kokobalé, Capoeira, Chinese Lion dance, and other martial arts forms hidden within context of music of dance. Sponsored by the Walmart Community Grant, Salt Lake City Arts Council, and the Sorenson Unity Center, the entire event will be free and open to the public. We are honored to have special guest instructors straight from Puerto Rico: Carlos “Xiorro” Padilla and Melissa Santos Ortiz.
